This is our story
Chefs wear many hats—a chef’s day often carries on well after the last plate is served, and starts way before the doors open. The rush of service is relentless. Before you know it, there are tickets hanging on the printer, hungry guests waiting, and plates piling up at the expo window. Improvised plate wipes, made from whatever’s handy—napkins, paper towels, or costly linen—aren’t always up to the task, especially when the heat is on. Chefs deserve better. They deserve a solution that helps them stay focused on what matters most: crafting dishes to perfection.
This is where the story of Chef Wipes begins.
Chef Wipes were born in a bustling Las Vegas kitchen, where our Chef-owner, David Glass, faced the same problem every day: “Where are my plate wipes?” It was a simple question, but it led to an even more profound realization: why wasn’t there a dedicated, purpose-driven product that chefs could use to efficiently and effectively touch up plates, and have ready at a moment’s notice?
This question sparked a journey of innovation.
David knew he wasn’t alone in his frustrations. The entire culinary community shares the same relentless pursuit of excellence. It was clear that a new tool was needed—one that could alleviate a small but crucial burden on chefs around the world. In 2019, David crafted the first prototype of what would become Chef Wipes. By 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, Chef Wipes launched, driven by one mission: to take one task off the chef’s “plate.”
As a small, minority-owned company in Las Vegas, Chef Wipes set out to empower chefs. We wanted to help them send out perfectly crafted courses every time—no mistakes, no prints on the rim, no sauce where it wasn’t intended. Our product was designed to outperform the makeshift solutions chefs had used for far too long.
Today, Chef Wipes are used in kitchens all over the US. From the moment an idea sparked in a crowded kitchen, to the launch of our product during one of the most challenging times the industry has faced, the journey of Chef Wipes has always been about making chefs’ lives a little easier. With Chef Wipes at their side, chefs can keep their focus where it belongs—on the food, the artistry, and the satisfaction of every guest.
